FOOD STALL – Africa2Australia

FOOD STALL

Provided the food is not used as a promotion for a business you will be exempt from the Food Act 2001 and there is no requirement for you to notify or register with Health Protection. Food stalls that are run by volunteers for fundraising purposes are not required to register with the Health Protection Service as they are also exempt from the Food Act 2001, regardless of the types of food they sell. All organisations that serve and prepare food for the public still have a responsibility to ensure the food they sell is safe, even if they are not covered by the Food Act 2001.

Stallholders must ensure that all equipment used on, at, or for their site is safe and secure at all times.

Walkways and public areas must be kept clear at all times. Stalls must remain within the allocated site boundaries unless authorised in writing by the Festival Committee.

Your stall location will be allocated to you by the Festival Committee.

All stallholders must have public liability insurance.

Our Festival is striving to be more eco-friendly than our previous events, therefore we encourage all festival stall holders to provide recyclable and biodegradable packaging materials and avoid plastic shopping bags.

Previous years’ feedback indicated visitors to the Africa Party in the Park Festival would love for the festival stallholders to bring an extra chair with them, so visitors could spend more time at your stall!

Please take care to contain and remove your rubbish from your stall site. Festival stallholders are to remove their rubbish by taking it with them by the end of the day. PLEASE DO NOT USE STREET BINS for this purpose.

Access to the Festival Site will commence at 7:00 am on the festival date. Please try to finish setting up your stall by 9:00 am.

You will receive an email a few days in advance with your stall allocation and instructions for entry to the Festival site.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation.

Please fill out the application form below.

Food Stalls are $700 per stall or space.

The stall comes with a gazebo (3m x 3m) Ezy Up Red, a long table and 2 chairs.
